The naming of the 'Urbanatomy' guidebook series was motivated by the idea of a 'living and breathing' city, dissected to multiple layers and digital bits of information for the reader.

With this metaphor in mind, David overlaid an 'urban' digital interface template that flexibly adjusted to the content from chapter-to-chapter creating change in a static space. This information platform supplied a futuristic styling that matched the editor's tone and intention - to write a detailed guidebook that documented and predicted the future a city on the move in Asia. What better place than Shanghai?

Highlight: The coffee-table guidebook has been a collector's item for Shanghai residents, tourists and expatriates.
